Position: Front Desk
Classification: Part-Time, 20 - 28 hours per week ($18)
Reports To: Visitor Services Manager

Job Summary: Is responsible for positive visitor interactions, effective handling of merchandise and ticket sales, careful attention to detail, and keeping a clean and organized work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for positive visitor interaction, is on-time, and helpful. They make good use of their work time and is helpful in other assigned duties such as mailings, some events, and coverage in an emergency, when necessary.

Assists in processing groups into the museum.
Greet members in a premium, friendly, and professional manner. Encourage memberships to visitors who are not current members.

Has an eye for detail and maintains a clean, organized workspace and store.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises volunteers according to the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities may include scheduling, training, and directing work for volunteers, membership information.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Creative, dependable, organized, and flexible. Professional and friendly demeanor. Understanding of museum culture and collections or willingness to learn. Ability to communicate with many kinds of visitors and co-workers.
