Woven Geometries
Beginning Weaving with Kristie Strasen
October 16-18, 2026
Students in the workshop will learn basic tapestry-weaving techniques while exploring color, texture and basic geometries. They will be asked to come to the short Friday night planning session with ideas in mind for a woven composition that incorporates the play of geometric shapes. Students will complete the workshop with a solid knowledge of basic tapestry weaving and a finished piece that can be transformed into a wall hanging, a pillow face, or a decorative mat.
